Call for Papers
Sponsored jointly by the Association of Cultural Economics International in conjunction with the Institute for Public Collaboration (IPC), South Korea.
What is the sustainable approach to understanding heritage and cities? How do economists account for cultural activities, community development, and heritage management? What are innovative ideas and practices in urban development and regeneration for sustainable neighbourhoods from the perspective of Cultural Economics? What are the political and intellectual challenges in the globalization process?
The 7th Asian Workshop on Cultural Economics is intended to provide a forum for the positive societal impact of economic research in cultural economics, as well as research initiatives deeply rooted in real-world contexts. Especially the workshop will be held in collaboration with Deep in Chungju, one of the Deep in Series of IPC, and Prof. Dr. David Throsby will give a keynote lecture in the DIC seminar prior to the workshop. The distinguished contributions will be taken into account for publication of an edited volume.
Authors are welcome to submit an extended abstract on the following, but not exclusive, topics:
Are you interested? Please send us the title and extended abstract (max. 1000 words) to won@eshcc.eur.nl, in Word or PDF format by the deadline of July 31, 2024. The extended abstract should provide a concise and informative summary of your research, covering the following elements: introduction, research quesion, methodology and data, and key findings obtained or expected. The extended abstract should include a title, the author(s)’ last name(s) and first name(s), and the institution (university, research centre, governmental organization, etc.). We look forward to hosting you in Chungju in October, the most beautiful month in South Korea.
