Call for Papers

The ACEI is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 2nd ACEI–China Convention, to be held in Xi’an, China, from 21–25 May 2026.

The conference will focus on “Cultural Economy and Green Sustainable Development from a Cross-Cultural Perspective”, with particular attention to research related to the Belt and Road Initiative. The event aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, industry representatives and cultural practitioners to explore how cultural economies can contribute to sustainable and inclusive development across regions.

Key conference themes include (but are not limited to):

  • Cultural and creative industries and human welfare
  • Cultural heritage protection, urban renewal and low-carbon pathways
  • Digital technologies, AI and innovation in cultural and tourism sectors
  • Cultural policy, regional cooperation and cross-cultural exchange
  • Ecological and sustainable tourism
  • Youth innovation and future-oriented cultural development

  • Venue: Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Yanta Campus
  • Format: Keynote sessions, parallel forums, youth workshops, roundtables and field visits
